Psychologist Schaerbeek – Ana Franco

About me

ana franco psychologue coach bruxellesDoctor in Psychology (PhD, Université Libre de Bruxelles, 2012), I am trained in Life Coaching (Université Catholique de Louvain, 2015).
I offer individual consultations for adults who wish to seek support during a difficult time in their lives, for existential questions, or simply for those who want to work on themselves to achieve greater self-fulfilment. I provide psychological support in a trusting and non-judgmental environment, offering active and compassionate listening.

I offer guidance on the following topics:

  • Relational difficulties (in romantic relationships, family, work, difficulties in establishing relationships, managing conflict, or asserting yourself to others);
  • Self-image, self-confidence, and self-esteem (dependency on others’ approval, excessive self-criticism, body dissatisfaction, psychological support for weight gain or loss);
  • Emotional regulation (identifying and understanding emotions in oneself and others);
  • Stress and anxiety management;
  • Professional concerns (career changes, burnout).

My approach is based on the idea that our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are often interconnected, and that changing negative thought patterns leads to positive changes in our lives. The aim is to analyze concrete problem situations by breaking them down into emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, and determining how they influence each other.

This type of therapeutic work is interactive, explicit, educational, and collaborative. Typically, we work within a limited timeframe (6 to 8 sessions maximum). Consultations can be conducted in French, Portuguese, or English.

Symptoms of worry, stress

Human beings are by nature frequently subjected to fear: a threatening situation, moments in life categorised by uncertainty, and apprehension – there are so many moments which generate a feeling of fear or danger.
