Psychologist Ixelles – Arnaud Dufour

About me

A social and clinical psychologist, I recently began my practice as a freelance psychologist. With professional experience in psychiatry and addiction, I now offer therapeutic support focused on listening, compassion, and respect for each individual’s pace. My approach is above all human: I am committed to welcoming you as you are, in a confidential, secure, and non-judgmental space.

I base my practice on active listening to support you on your personal journey, help you navigate the difficulties you encounter, and find your own resources and answers within yourself. Each life journey is unique, and it is in this uniqueness that I strive to anchor each therapeutic support. I welcome everyone, regardless of age, gender, identity, or orientation, in an inclusive approach that respects diversity.

My approach is integrative: it draws on different branches of psychology (humanistic, systemic, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, etc.) to best adapt to your needs and reality. I deeply believe in each person’s ability to evolve, transform their wounds, and build a more peaceful life path.

The reasons for consultation can be varied: anxiety, depression, lack of confidence or self-esteem, relationship difficulties, behavioral disorders, substance use, painful life events, identity issues, etc. I offer individual counseling for adolescents, adults, and the elderly, adapting to each individual’s needs and goals.

As a psychologist, I consider the therapeutic relationship a central tool in the change process. It is through this alliance, based on trust and mutual respect, that we build a space for growth and transformation together.

Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or to schedule an initial meeting. I will be happy to welcome you and walk alongside you.

A psychologist to help you…

A psychologist is a professional that looks after the troubles, complex or not, which affect our emotions, our stability, our well-being, and our “state of mind”.

The aim of having therapy is so that you feel relieved from one or more of the problems which are weighing you down and which had been unmanageable for you.

Therapy allows you to put into words things which will let you draw a line under these problems, or find the causes and explanations which will make you stronger and more able to manage your emotions towards these problems.

As a natural consequence, your general state will improve, you will regain confidence in yourself, and move forward on the path of well-being.
