Psychologist Drogenbos – Mateana Ignat

About me

I am providing psychological support nourished by a humanistic and existential approach, which values the individual and their unique experiences. In this therapeutic space, each individual is welcomed with kindness, respect, and a complete absence of judgment. My aim is to provide a safe, authentic, and warm environment where you can share your experiences, explore your emotions, and move at your own pace toward a deeper understanding of yourself.

My support is personalized and adapted to your needs, your history, and your preferences. Sessions can be held in English, French or Romanian, either in person or online, offering you maximum flexibility.

My approach is designed to help you better understand your experiences, identify your inner resources, and reconnect with a way of being that is more aligned with your values and deeper needs. Together, we work to create a space where you can feel heard, supported, and free to explore what truly matters to you.

I provide psychological support for adults, adolescents, couples, and families, addressing a wide range of emotional, relational, and existential difficulties. I work with issues such as burnout, work related stress, anxiety, and relational challenges in professional settings, within couples, or within families. I also offer support during the perinatal period, the transition to parenthood, situations involving illness, as well as for caregivers.

My work includes emotion regulation, exploring issues of low self esteem, feelings of sadness, loneliness, or anger, as well as accompanying individuals through existential questions related to meaning, freedom, mortality, or isolation. I also accompany grief processes, whether recent or long standing.

I am accredited by the Commission of Psychologists, which means you may be eligible for partial reimbursement of your sessions. I encourage you to contact your health insurance provider for more information.

A psychologist to help you…

A psychologist is a professional that looks after the troubles, complex or not, which affect our emotions, our stability, our well-being, and our “state of mind”.

The aim of having therapy is so that you feel relieved from one or more of the problems which are weighing you down and which had been unmanageable for you.

Therapy allows you to put into words things which will let you draw a line under these problems, or find the causes and explanations which will make you stronger and more able to manage your emotions towards these problems.

As a natural consequence, your general state will improve, you will regain confidence in yourself, and move forward on the path of well-being.
